From time to time we all like to dream that we’re riding the same famous roads as the pros in the Grand Tours.

Dressing up in the replica kits of our favourite teams and riding similar bikes as our heroes just adds to the fun. And who, if they’re honest, hasn’t glanced over their shoulder during their daily commute and imagined that they’re leading an heroic breakaway on the deciding stage of a major race? And who cares if the imaginary peloton struggling to chase you down happens to made up of elderly ladies? It’s all just part of the dream!

Riding in a bunch alongside professional riders in the beautiful Tuscan hills as they take us out on their favourite routes, might also be part of your riding dream. If so our brand new Giro della Toscana could make that dream come true.

Skedaddle has teamed up with former Team CSC rider Lars Michaelsen. Now working as Directeur Sportif for Team Saxo Bank - IT Factory, the latest incarnation of his team, Lars has, for some years, been working behind the scenes, helping us create some fantastic self-guided Classic Road tours in the hills around his home and training ground close to the Tuscan town of Lucca.

This year for the first time Lars accompanied by his riding companion, the ex Italian National Champion and Paris Roubaix winner, Andrea Tafi, will be out on the road and personally leading tours.  Combine the presence of two world class riders with excellent accommodation, gourmet cuisine, wine tasting and routes handpicked by Lars himself, and your dream trip could well have just become a unique reality.
