Good old English weather getting you down? Bored with the indoor trainer? Fed up with covering yourself from head to toe in goose grease before going anywhere near your bike!! The boys and girls at Skedaddle are certainly fed up with it and that's why we're all looking forward to the start of the season with eager anticipation.

Our Classic Road Rides are proving ever more popular and we have more confirmed departures at this early stage in the year than ever before. That means we're going to have a busy old year out on the roads. And that means even more opportunity for you to get out there and join us in some of the world's most spectacular road cycling destinations. Don't hang around though, a number of the tours have already sold out and spaces are limited on many others.

Here's a selection of some of 2008's hottest Classic Road destinations.
UK Weekends

Cotswold’s Introductory Weekend - April 18th-20th

North Wales Long Weekend - May 2nd-5th
  Cotswold’s Introductory Weekend
April 18th-20th

Our first road trip of the season is always a popular one. 2 days of super cycling, cream teas and daffodils in the quintessentially English villages of the Cotswolds, this weekend trip is a perfect introduction to Road Cycling. It's also an excellent way for more experienced riders to ease themselves back into the saddle after a long and lazy winter !!

North Wales Long Weekend
May 2nd-5th

Our longest running, most challenging and most successful UK Road Weekend. Running over the May bank holiday we bring you 3 days of outstanding cycling on some of the most dramatic roads in the British Isles. Don't delay the trip almost always sells out and space is VERY limited.

Southern Spain

Alpujarras Short Break - April 25th-30th   Alpujarras Short Break
April 25th-30th**

Nestled between Sierra Nevada and the Mediterranean, the Alpujarras region of Andalucia in Southern Spain offers absolutely perfect riding. Quiet roads, beautiful scenery, perfectly manageable climbs and long, thrilling descents. Who could ask for more? Only 2 places remain on our April 25th departure.

**Please note that by popular demand, this trip (25th April departure only) has been extended to 6 days with 4 days of cycling and not 5 days with 3 days cycling as advertised in our brochure

French Mountains

French Alps - Classic Passes June 21st-28th & September 6th - 13th

Pyrenees Mountain Challenge June 6th-15th & September 20th-29th
  French Alps - Classic Passes
June 21st-28th & September 6th - 13th

The French Alps are home to the most famous Tour De France climbs and our Classic Passes tour is a must for anyone who's ever wondered what it's like ride a "real" mountain. A week of genuinely classic riding taking in the likes of the Forclaz, Colombiere, Galibier and of course, Alpe D'Huez all of which are guaranteed to both challenge and exhilarate. Guaranteed departures for both dates (June & September) with very limited availability. Book early to avoid disappointment.

Pyrenees Mountain Challenge
June 6th-15th & September 20th-29th

Bigger and better than ever before, our Pyrenees Mountain Challenge has been extended to 10 days this year so that we can give you even more fantastic riding in Europe's most impressive mountain range. Designed to appeal to riders who love the "ups and downs" of high mountain riding this is a challenging but rewarding tour. Both dates are proving very popular and again availability is quite limited.

Italy

Dolomites & Italian Alps July 5th - 12th

Sardinian Coastal Explorer April 12th-20th & May 24th-June 1st

France & Italy - Grand Tour of the Mediterranean June 19th-July 1st & August 28th-September 9th
  Dolomites & Italian Alps
July 5th - 12th

New for 2008, our Dolomites and Italian Alps tour is our most serious and challenging road trip to date. Beginning close to the tranquil shores of Lake Como our journey will take us over some of the most feared mountain passes of the Giro D'Italia, including the 48 hairpins of the Stelvio, Monte Grappe and Motirolo - the mountain once described by Lance Armstrong as "the toughest in the world". The July 5th departure is already confirmed and guaranteed and Ryanair flights into and out of Bergamo are currently very reasonably priced.

Sardinian Coastal Explorer
April 12th-20th & May 24th-June 1st

Sardinia is famed as Italy's most exotic Island and this totally new tour will help you understand exactly why. Beginning in Alghero in the north, our Coastal Explorer does "exactly what is says on the tin" and follows the stunningly beautiful coastline all the way to the Southern point of the island. A moderately graded tour, thoroughly manageable and yet challenging enough to keep everybody interested.

France & Italy - Grand Tour of the Mediterranean

June 19th-July 1st & August 28th-September 9th

Without a doubt the Grand Tour is still our flagship Classic Road tour - never has there been a more diverse road trip. A wonderful adventure starting and finishing on the chic shores of the Cote D'Azur and taking in the wild and rugged mountain beauty of northern Corsica, the rolling vine-covered hills of Tuscany, the enchanting villages of the Cinque Terre and the cool mountain roads of Piemonte. There's no other word for it - it truly is a Grand Tour.

Norway

Jotunheimen & the Fjords July 12th-18th & August 23rd-29th   Jotunheimen & the Fjords
July 12th-18th & August 23rd-29th

A spectacular journey in a cooler climate through Norway's most dramatic national parks and fjords. If waterfalls, glaciers, lakes and snow-capped mountains as well as superb riding are your thing, this is the trip for you.
